Pecorino grapes come from Central Eastern Italy in the Abruzzo area, where they are native. The name Pecorino means baby sheep, which may have derived because of the sheep feeding on the the wild grapes. The grapes are an ancient variety which were nearly extinct in the 1980’s and hve been re-discovered.
Tasting note: Dry, high acidity, citrus notes like lemon lime and may express green pear and apple.
